Eligible students can potentially receive up to FULL COLLEGE TUITION to a Florida Public University. Students can apply NOW to floridastudentfinancialaid.org.
The United States Department of Education also provides students with financial aid through FAFSA. This money can be used at many universities all over the U.S., as well as in the state of Florida. Students can apply NOW to studentaid.gov.
For more information, please click on SENIORS under the Guidance tab at our school’s website.
You don't want to miss out on these opportunities for financial assistance with your continued education, so apply today!

ATTENTION PARENTS:
If your child had free or reduced meals at school last year, the grace period for the new school year has ended.
Until you complete the application for the new school year, your child will be charged at the regular price for meals, and that cost is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Please renew your child's benefits by completing the QUICK application at myschoolapps.com.
Thank you!

JUNIORS and SENIORS:
Just a reminder that Herff Jones will be on campus tomorrow to take your orders and $80 deposits on class rings and/or senior caps & gowns during all lunches. Visit herffjones.com to see order options, or refer to the student packets sent home last week.

First, starting at 4 PM, join us for dinner at Panera where 30% of sales between 4 and 8 PM will benefit NHS! Simply show the cashier the flyer attached below, or enter promo code FUND4U at online checkout. The funds we earn will go directly towards celebrating our students' and teachers' accomplishments this school year through our Extra Degree Program!
Then, head to the beach for our Community Pep Rally, which begins at 5:30 PM and is hosted by Andy D's in their parking lot. This event is fun for the whole family and will get everyone ready for our pre-season football game on Friday night versus Pensacola High School at home with kickoff at 7:30 PM. The game theme is BLACKOUT, so wear all your black Raider gear to the game!
Please come see us at Panera and Andy D's for lots of Thursday night fun! We are so appreciative of our community's support for our Raiders!

Want to start your summer early? You can if you qualify for early spring exams!
NHS is piloting a new Early Exam privilege for 9th-11th grade students this year! By meeting certain attendance and course grade requirements, students can earn the privilege of taking their spring semester exams May 21st-23rd instead of May 27th-29th!
Requirements:
An "A" average in the class and 6 or fewer absences for the entire school year.
A "B" average in the class and 4 or fewer absences for the entire school year.
A "C" average in the class and 2 or fewer absences for the entire school year.
ADDITIONAL INFO…
ALL non-school related absences, both excused and unexcused, will count towards the student’s absence total. School functions and school-related absences will not count toward the student’s total absences.
Early Exams will only be available in May 2025 and will be determined on a class-by-class basis, meaning students may qualify for early exams in some classes, but not in others.
For classes that are only one semester, grade requirements will be the same, but the attendance requirement will be halved (3 absences with an “A” average; 2 absences with a “B” average; and 1 absence with a “C” average).
